Last month on January 17, we hosted our Ribbon-Cutting and Rebranding Event. At the event, we celebrated our exciting transition from Desert Canyon Mortgage to DC Lending.

The story of DC Lending
Our growth story is first and foremost one of family.

We started out as a small, family-owned home loan company called Desert Canyon Mortgage in 1998. Two decades later, we’ve grown larger and the next generation joined the helm. My Son, James Sands is now a Loan Officer and was very much a part of the creation of DC Lending and of driving the company forward.

Through the two generations of our family-operated business, we have continued to innovate—employing new technology and modern business communication to better serve our customers. But we made a commitment to expand without losing the same core values that brought us success and valued relationships. Most importantly, we remain firmly committed to helping people through one of the most exciting times of their lives: buying a home.

With so much change over the years, we needed a new brand to better capture what makes us stand out from other lenders. And so, DC Lending LLC—a locally-owned company that offers some of the most competitive loan prices in the Pacific Northwest—was born.

We couldn’t have done it without our community
It’s safe to say we had a lot to celebrate at the event. We couldn’t have built DC Lending without our wonderful customers, partners, and friends, which is why we decided to hold an event that not only appropriately celebrated our achievements but gave something back to the people who matter most to our business.

We’d like to send out a special thank you to Paul Kuthe of Tributary Coaching and Perspektiiv Design Co., a Portland creative branding studio. Both were instrumental in our rebranding process and we greatly appreciate all of the support we received.

The event was a huge success
While mixing and mingling with our team and other members of the local real estate and lending community, guests were treated to food, drinks, and live music from Joseph Sands on acoustic guitar and vocalist Lily Tran.

The evening was planned and supported by:
